Ski Tuition
La Clusaz is a fantastic resort for skiers and boarders of all levels.
Gentle greens for beginners, long blues for intermediates and challenging
reds and blacks for experienced skiers/riders. Listed below is information
we have collected together for your guiding or lesson needs during your
stay with us.
If you are beginner, take a look at our special learner packs, which
are all inclusive - accommodation, skis + boot hire, ESF half or full

Ski Schools and Learning to Ski in La Clusaz
Virtually any type of ski or board lessons can be booked in advance
by your hosts with friendly (highly recommended) English speaking instructors,
for small groups or individuals on a private lessons basis. ESF, Sno
Academie and Aravis Challenge run 5/6 day ski courses for all levels.
Guests can also take advantage of a cheaper lift passes in off peak
periods such as January and April.

ESF has more than 130 certified instructors, speaking French, English,
German, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch. They cover a wide range of disciplines,
including alpine skiing, snowboard, freeride, newschool, telemark and
discovery skiing.
Teenage and freestyle lessons are also available.
During the ski season: 9.30-11.30 am and 2.45-4.45 pm February school
holidays: 9-11 am and 3-5 pm

SNO-ACADEMIE has 13 certified instructors speaking French, English
and German and offers ski tuition in alpine skiing, snowboard, freeride,
telemark and skwal.
- Private lessons (2h): from 66€.
- Children's group lessons (5 days - max 8 people): during the school
holidays in the afternoons (1.30 to 5 pm). Price: 145€.
- "Discovery" lessons (5 days - max 10 people): for beginner
children as of 4 years old, in the morning (10.50 am to 13.00) 127€.
- Boarding lessons (5 days 13.30-16.30pm), for all levels 145-150€.

Aravis Challenge has seven state certified instructors speaking French
and English and offers tuition in alpine skiing, snowboard, freeride-off-piste,
freestyle (ski & snowboard), telemark and tour skiing. It also offers
free entrance to "Snow and safety" information to raise awareness
of the risks of off- piste skiing, which normally take place on Monday
evenings at 7.30 pm.
- Private lesson (1h) 35-40€pp plus 5€ per extra.
- Grouplesons (5x3hrs) mon-fri, 9-12, 150€pp
- Hire an instructor: 1/2 day or full day. From 160€.
- Heliskiing and high-mountain itineraries (Vallée Blanche,
Vallon de la Meije) on request.
- Off-piste: from initiation to freeride.
