If you don't ski but love the outdoors then la clusaz is perfect for some winter walking. Either with or without snow shoes, the trails are well marked and take in some stunning views.
On most trails the snow is mechanically compressed to provide a hard walking base and there is usually a restaurant nearby to provide a post walk refreshment

The season starts in november for weekends, then fully the week before christmas. The holiday celebrations continue for 2 weeks, until after new year and are followed on by other events throughout the season such as puppet shows, street entertainment, circus workshops and the popular street carnival in february.
The season's sporting events kick off with the noisy but spectacular dog sleigh competition, radikal free-ride tour, grimpé du loup, asics snow run, rossignol air tour, ending in late april with the unmissably crazy defi foly.
