The north and west facing positions of most of the slopes means that snow holds well throughout the season, so don't be put off by the fact that the town is only at 1100m.
Even at this low altitude skiing back into the town centre is possible throughout the winter season and recently installed snow making facilities on the lower slopes ensure a good snow covering on the lower runs returning to the town right up to the end of the season.

There are excellent green runs and nursery areas for beginners, long blues and reds for intermediate skiers, and challenging off-piste for more experienced skiers. The instructors and guides all speak good english and can offer tuition from an hour to a full day or complete week if you really want to explore all the Aravis ski area has to offer.

The la clusaz domain covers five mountains and offers extensive and varied runs for snowboarders, the majority of which are north facing, which explains the good snow record of the resort.
The la clusaz lift system includes five cable cars, 16 chairlifts and 36 drag lifts. There are 25 green runs, 28 blue, 23 red and 7 black runs, not to mention the abundance of off piste areas.

You will find that all the cross country circuits in la clusaz are well prepared and clearly marked.
Cross country skiing is mainly practised on level terrain, however the courses are graded depending on your level of ability and stamina. These range from green to black, the latter being the hardest and most demanding stamina wise as they usually consist of a steep ascent and descent somewhere in the circuit.

We also carry a certain amount of stock for spares, so you can effortlessly change your boots or skis during your stay.

There are two main types of ski passes, the La Clusaz pass which covers 130km of pistes or the Aravis ski pass, 220km of pistes, and includes free bus travel between the other ski resorts covered on the pass.
Children under 5 are free and adults over 60 get a seniors reduction. You can book ski passes online, or we can pre-book your passes for you as part of our catered service
